Unit Goals and Code of Conduct
The Red Guard is an apolitical living history organization. Our main goals are to educate the public and honor the memory of all soldiers of World War II through the display and demonstration of period uniforms, weapons, equipment, and tactics.
The rules of our organization are quite simple and must be adhered to at all times. Behavior by any member that is not in the best interest of this organization or is inconsistent with the organization's goals as stated in this document will be grounds for immediate membership dismissal.
This unit has a ZERO TOLERANCE policy regarding harassment. This includes harassment of a sexual, political, racial, gender, or religious nature. Violators will be dealt with swiftly!
We work hard to create a welcoming environment both on and off the field. Fellow members and visitors will be treated with the utmost politeness, courtesy, and respect. Any individual behaving in a rude or confrontational manner should be politely ignored and referred to unit leaders.
By the act of joining and through continued membership in our living history organization, all members acknowledge their understanding of and agreement that we are not a survivalist, paramilitary, or militia organization; that we do not agree with or condone the actions or beliefs of anyone who is; that we are not politically motivated in any way; that our goal is to study and teach others about one of our country's most valuable military allies of the Second World War; and to honor the soldiers who participated in that conflict.
Also, strict weapons safety will be followed at all times! Just because we're firing blanks doesn't mean they won't hurt someone. Weapons safety is a priority for our unit and the other units (Soviet and German) we may encounter in the field.
If you are willing to listen, learn, take orders, be safe, and research your impression, then welcome to the Red Guard! May you find a good home with us! За Родину!
