Welcome, Tovarischi!
We are a Scout element of the 14th Reconnaissance Company, 39th Rifle Regiment, 13th Guards Division. We are the elite of the Red Guard and are hand picked to
we work in small teams to achieve an objective given to us by Tovarisch Kapitan.
Our uniforms are the same as the standard infantryman but we do have some special equipment. For many missions, we wear a camouflage suit of the "amoeba" or "falling leaf" pattern over our uniforms for concealment.
Scouts are to carry submachine guns like the PPSh-41, PPS-43, or captured German MP-40 only. Scout knives like the NR-40 are also encouraged.
Scouts were essential in gathering intelligence on enemy movement and positions. Our job is reconnaissance. The razvedchiki primary form of reconnaissance was command-push. This identifies enemy surfaces and gaps, which are reported to the commanding officer who then bases his attack and maneuver plan on that gathered information.
By keeping with this doctrine, our training is more extensive and physically demanding than the rifleman. I expect the best out of my scout team. Za Rodinu!
